PancakeSwap, one of the leading decentralized exchanges (DEX) on Binance Smart Chain (BNB Chain), has announced a major rebranding and upgrade to PancakeSwap Infinity. This transition from PancakeSwap v4 marks a significant milestone in the platform’s evolution, coinciding with a 3.5% price increase for its native token, CAKE. The upgrade introduces technical enhancements aimed at boosting trading efficiency and liquidity provision, with plans to expand to additional blockchains beyond BNB Chain. This move underscores PancakeSwap’s commitment to innovation and scalability in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.

PancakeSwap Rebrands to PancakeSwap Infinity with Major Upgrade

PancakeSwap has unveiled a significant rebranding and upgrade, transitioning from PancakeSwap v4 to PancakeSwap Infinity. The move comes as the native token CAKE records a modest 3.5% price increase.

Initially launching on BNB Chain, PancakeSwap Infinity plans to expand to additional blockchains. The upgrade introduces technical enhancements aimed at improving trading efficiency and liquidity provision.

Key features include support for multiple liquidity pool types, allowing providers to choose between concentrated liquidity models like CLAMM and simpler alternatives such as LBAMM. This flexibility caters to diverse trading strategies while maintaining the platform’s competitive edge in decentralized exchange infrastructure.

Crypto Market Shows Mixed Signals as Bitcoin and Ethereum Edge Higher

The cryptocurrency market opened the week with subdued activity, recording a marginal decline in total market capitalization to $2.95 trillion. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) eked out modest gains, while Ripple (XRP) and Solana (SOL) posted more substantial advances. SOL is testing the $150 level again after dipping below it during weekend trading.

Mid-cap altcoins displayed varied performance. Dogecoin (DOGE) rose over 1%, while Cardano (ADA) climbed nearly 3% to $0.711. Chainlink (LINK) and Stellar (XLM) both saw incremental increases. Toncoin (TON), Hedera (HBAR), Polkadot (DOT), and Litecoin (LTC) similarly recorded minor upticks.

In institutional developments, World Liberty Financial founders held discussions with Binance’s Changpeng Zhao, though details of the meeting remain undisclosed. The market appears to be consolidating after recent volatility, with traders watching for catalysts that could break the current equilibrium.
